Harbour and Lighthouse Tours for Primary Schools

As part of our commitment to sustainability, Stornoway Port Authority supports a wide range of education and youth projects that have a two-way benefit for the community and the port.

The port hosts several school trips throughout the year, for which we have received positive feedback from both schools and pupils. The pupils can enjoy guided tours around the port and marina, and if they are lucky they might even spot a seal! The students particularly enjoy going up to the lighthouse at Arnish which is always met with great enthusiasm. Stornoway Port is committed to supporting the community and raising its profile within the local area. If you would like to arrange a visit to the port, please emailĀ info@stornowayport.com

Environmental

Stornoway Port Authority requires all business units, assets and vessels operating within the confines of Stornoway harbour to preserve the environment for the benefit of the community and to preserve the natural habitats of the harbour.

The port authority maintains effective procedures and control measures designed to ensure that the potential impact on the environment is fully considered for all activities within the port.
