The Port Authority is mandated to facilitate trade in a way that ensures the safe movements of vessels and goods, ensuring our operations are sustainable and consider the impacts on our local communities. We operate in a wide variety of industries, and must constantly adapt to changing market and economic conditions. Historically a fishing port, the port has adapted over the past numbers of years, and now operates in commercial industries as well as the rapidly increasing leisure industry.
